(August 25th, 2014-Nashville, TN) Grammy® nominated artist Natalie Grant's hit GSN series, It Takes A Church has been confirmed for a second season. The network announced the series renewal and season two will air in 2015. The series premiered in June of 2014 and follows Christian congregations across the U.S. in a matchmaking endeavor to help one unattached fellow congregant find his or her partner. Natalie Grant serves as host for each one-hour episode which features a church from a different region of the country. In its first season, the show garnered more than seven million viewers.
"So excited to be back with It Takes A Church for a second season," Grant commented, adding, " I'm honored to be a part of this sweet, family-friendly show, and love watching church congregations acknowledge their single members in a whole new way!"
The exciting news arrived less than a week after the multi-award winning, Grammy® nominee received four Dove Award nominations for songs from her #1 album, "HURRICANE" in the 45th Annual Dove Awards nominations. The album title track and single Hurricane earned triple nominations in the Song of the Year, Contemporary Christian Performance of the Year and Pop/Contemporary Song of the Year categories; I Love the Lord, also from the "HURRICANE" album, received a nomination for Gospel Performance of the Year. In addition, Natalie's husband, and "HURRICANE" producer, Bernie Herms is a nominee for Producer of the Year.
